Two days ago I had this really fun gig at the Ornithology Jazz Club in Brooklyn with Steve Nelson on guitar subbing for Panas Athanatos and Andrea Niccolai on drums.

We had a great time playing some good tunes including Bittersweet by Sam Jones, Jingles by Wes Montgomery and Hindsight by Cedar Walton.

The club, run by Mitch Borden and Rye Yamaguchi, is located at 6 Suydam Street, Brooklyn (NY). It’s great to see all the people from the neighborhood hangin’ out at the club and so many great musicians coming to hang and play until late at night. Also the place has a good drum set, an upright bass and a nice piano.

I hope to see this club growing more and more and becoming a spot where listeners and musicians can meet and hang until late. Next week on Saturday October 23 I will be playing there again with Ben Solomon’s trio.
