Mike Le Donne Trio live at Dizzy’s Club feat. Ron Carter and Joe Farnsworth
Yesterday night I witnessed something really special at Dizzy’s Club. Mike Le Donne trio with Ron Carter and Joe Farnsworth.
As soon as these guys walked on the stage I felt captured instantly by the empowering energy that these gentlemen were emanating. Joe Farnsworth made me feel a sense of joy, admiration and respect towards Ron Carter from the very beginning and so did Mike Le Donne. A trio in which the musicians supported each others and where the feel of the music was put at the first place. Thank you for swinging so hard.
LIST OF THE MUSIC PLAYED:
Alone Together (A.Schwartz)
After The Rain (J.Coltrane)
Here’s That Rainy Day (J.Van Heusen)
In A Sentimental Mood (D.Ellington)
S.K.J. (M.Jackson)
Encounter(M.Le Donne)
Bleecker Street Theme (C.Walton)
I want to say that being from a place that is very far from NYC every time that I get to see Ron Carter playing live is like the first time, I guess it’s just too much to process for me and get accustomed to it.
Even if I know Mr.Carter for 3 years I can’t stress enough how that feeling never gets old, Thank you Maestro with all my heart for all the lessons and the opportunities that you give me.
