Just An Exercise

It’s just an exercise,

just a chromatic scale goin’ up two octaves.

It took me some time I have to say, gotta play in tune, every note should have the same volume, quality, length.

I try it slow and my mind goes really fast.

Focus, I have to hold my bass and let go my thoughts.

What I am really practicing is not the bass, I’m practicing life, acceptance and existence. The instrument creates a connection between experience and unknown, reality and imagination. I learn about the seeds and how they can grow into a beautiful tree if the soil is fertile and the water is clean.
